Van axel dongen ouders /\ Amourrichio Jahvairo Déshauntino van Axel Dongen is a Dutch professional footballer who currently plays for Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie.
Van Axel Dongen was born in Almere and played youth football for Zeeburgia and OSV Amsterdam before joining Ajax’s development academy. In September 2020, he signed his first professional deal with the club.
In a 1–1 tie against De Graafschap on May 7, 2021, he made his professional debut as a starter for Jong Ajax, playing until halftime for the team captained by Mitchell van der Gaag.
He started the following matchday, which also happened to be the season’s final, in a 1–2 away triumph over Telstar. Van Axel Dongen scored the game’s first goal shortly before halftime, thanks to a Kian Fitz-Jim assist, and he was replaced by Nordin Musampa in the 62nd minute.
Van Axel Dongen received the Abdelhak Nouri Award as the greatest talent from Ajax’s youth academy at the end of the 2020–21 season.
Ajax has signed Amourricho van Axel Dongen to his first professional contract. For the 15-year-old attacker, this is a dream come true. “In any case, staying here was my intention. I want to be successful in Ajax.”
He put a stop to all rumours regarding ‘supposed foreign interest’ with his signature. He claims that he has been fairly sober about it recently. “I don’t pay attention to what is mentioned in the media. My mother, on the other hand, keeps me grounded.”
It had been a battle up to that point. The Van Axel Dongen family gives all the credit to neighbour Chaouki for getting the dribbler whirling in the first place. ‘ He was the one who taught Amourricho how to play football.
Amo was a natural, according to Chaouki, but it had to be pulled out of him. ‘That happened on the street, partially because Van Axel Dongen was kicked from the football team after a brief stint at Zeeburgia due to his mother’s pregnancy.
‘It was a sensible step for us at the time, because the pregnancy was becoming increasingly difficult.’ ‘Amourricho had no objections, but he still didn’t grasp how the game was put together,’ Cherrel explains.
Van Axel Dongen is a current youth international for the Netherlands.
This, according to his mother, is largely due to Amourricho’s inherent motivation, which he displayed by constantly maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity.
“As parents, we’ve always encouraged and supported him.” Amourricho is a mentally strong man, and he handled the situation admirably.
We noticed that he was occasionally ‘itchy’ and wanted to go out on the field, but things went smoothly in general at those times.’
