Leeftijd cesar zuiderwijk /\ Cornelis Johannes “Cesar” Zuiderwijk is a drummer from the Netherlands
. He is most recognised for his work as the drummer for the Dutch rock band Golden Earring, which he was a part of from 1970 until their disbandment in 2021.
The young Zuiderwijk began playing the guitar when he was twelve years old, but two years later he moved to the drums.
He has played drums in a number of bands, including his high school band René & His Alligators, as well as Hu & the Hilltops and Livin’ Blues, among others.
His replacement for Golden Earring drummer Sieb Warner was sought after in 1970. With the exception of brief five-piece incarnations (with Robert Jan Stips and later Eelco Gelling), Golden Earring has remained essentially the same four pals since that time (Zuiderwijk, George Kooymans, Barry Hay and Rinus Gerritsen).
Zuiderwijk is well-known for incorporating a drum solo into each concert, which he closes by leaping over his drum kit and into the audience.
When Zuiderwijk and his Golden Earring bandmates performed “Radar Love” on the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, they were joined by over a thousand other drummers in an unprecedented show of solidarity.
In 1999, he was invited by War Child to teach drumming to youngsters in the Bosnian town of Mostar. He accepted the invitation.
When members of Golden Earring decided to take a year off, he joined them on tour with Percossa Percussion in 2000. A variety of sketches, drum escapades, and stories were performed as part of the theatre production “Alle gekheid met een stokje.”
Zuiderwijk was invited by Veronica DJ Silvan Stoet to participate in the Spring Rhythm Event, which was organised by the DJ and the Dutch Longfonds organisation in the spring of 2014.
Immediately following Christmas, they embarked on a joint journey to Tasmania, where she would meet his family. A few days later, they were both killed in a head-on collision that occurred as a result of the collision. Terrible.
Hester was also in a state of bodily distress. Her foot was on the verge of being amputated. She, on the other hand, is a tough lady, and she fought back.
After hearing her brother’s account, I travelled to Tasmania soon after the disaster and helped to arrange her repatriation to the United States.
“I figured you should be one of the first to know,” he explained further. It’s just fantastic. In any case, I paid Hester a visit at her place of business with a large bouquet of flowers.
There she sat, in a wheelchair, weak but also incredibly strong at the same time. It’s just stunning… It still brings tears to my eyes.
Through a tragic sequence of events, Hester was introduced to Golden Earring drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk. Cesar was given a second chance by the woman.
“I’m not going to continue without him,” I declared. Hester and I have known each other for a very long time, thanks to common connections.
” Earlier that day, her brother took her to a lovely shop in The Hague where she could browse among exquisite china and other stuff.
At the time, I had a friendship with Hester’s brother, and we collaborated on the project together. Hester confided in me once in December 2006 that she was planning a vacation to Australia with her Australian lover, which I was delighted to hear.
The Netherlands is the location where this takes place. I informed them in advance that I would be interested in performing at the wedding. The dialogue took place with Hester not only cognitively present, but also physically present due to her bodily well-being.
