Frank boeijen relatie /\ Franciscus Johannes Maria (Frank) Boeijen is a Dutch singer, poet, composer, and musician who was born in the city of Utrecht.

His work with the Frank Boeijen Groep, a band from the Dutch-speaking wave that was experiencing the Nederpop movement at the time, made him a household name in the 1980s.

Boeijen’s work is distinguished by lyrics that are poetic and often melancholic, as well as melodious music that is somewhere between pop and chanson.

In the years following high school, Boeijen thoroughly immersed himself in the world of music. Frank Boeijen and Wout Pennings, a guitarist seven years older than Boeijen, collaborated on an album, Frank Boeijen en Woutje Pennings, which was released in 1977.

The album wound up with the record company CNR in 1978, thanks to Pennings’ connections. CNR provided Boeijen and Pennings with the opportunity to re-record the album, which included four new songs, under the supervision of Rob de Nijs, who served as the album’s production supervisor.

The CD also included contributions from keyboardist Jan Rietman and backup singer Jody Pijper. It was necessary to add drummer Henk Wanders and bassist Nels Busch to the duo in order for them to be able to perform.

The musician has been in a great relationship with his girlfriend Agnes for many years, and he values the fact that the two have a shared history.

“There’s nothing wrong with having a romantic crush on someone. I am a heterosexual male who enjoys the company of women. Your partner, on the other hand, is your ‘partner in crime.’

That you have been through a lot together, that you have fought each other out, yet that you still think: ‘It’s lovely’ so many years later.”

“I’m convinced that I’ve made a huge mistake.” Frank Boeijen sighs, his face flushed with remorse. We headed to a hotel in Nijmegen to speak with the artist about his new double album, which was released earlier this year.

For the 60-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist, ‘Palermo’ is a hymn to the various qualities of love that serves as an antidote to the cynical times in which we find ourselves.

This is a compelling argument to examine love in greater depth. The singer, on the other hand, is much more likely to speak on the state of the world.

As a singer-songwriter, Boeijen has been performing according to a formula that has worked for him for 33 years: start at eight o’clock in the morning instead of one o’clock in the morning when you have to yell above the people on the bar, and preferably only in the first half of the year as a singer-songwriter in theatres.

From August on, he plans to quietly write new songs, travel, and spend time in France, where he has a house that he has owned for twelve years and recently sold.

Because to Corona, he was immediately back on the huge pop stages; in a venue like 013 in Tilburg, which can ordinarily hold three thousand people, you can always put 450 people at one and a half metres from each other in order to maximise space efficiency.

When that was no longer an option, he performed twice a night for a total of thirty audience members. ‘ You know, they make something entertaining out of it in those halls, and it’s very well organised. The audience is seated at tables in pairs, each with a drink in hand; the setting is both evocative and intimate.

And everyone is relieved that something is even possible, isn’t it? Everything that was always evident has now become something truly extraordinary.

I gave a performance in a church in Maastricht in front of 25 people who stood in a circle around me. Essentially, the band is performing acoustically at a cafe with only a guitar, as it did years ago.

The strangest thing about it is that it’s a lot of fun. Only a short period of time should be required. If this trend continues for another year, it will be detrimental to everyone.’
